Alexa Chung's favorite look?

Alexa Chung's favorite look?

Look! It's Alexa Chung repeating her look in her talk show in a magazine. It's basically the same tee paired with cut off shorts/skirt. And she paired it with pretty black mary janes. It makes her legs look even more skinny. But I really don't care. I envy her long legs!

Anyways, I gotta study now :D

Lee Hyori photos

I don't really know who she is. But I saw some great pics of Lee Hyori on the net. She was featured in some magazine and wore cool clothes. I decided to post this picture since my eco prof was wearing something like the picture below:

I really really love the look. It's the perfect black and white combo don't you think? I was reminded of this picture since my eco prof wore something like this. And all that I can think of is that I want to wear something like that! But some minor changes. She's old by the way. Anyways, here's another picture that is just as fab taken from the same mag:

So pretty. I just want to copy the style from top to bottom. Of course this would be hard since her clothes are from Korea. But if I really put my mind into it (and my money), I could copy the look.

My twin and I shopped at SM recently and I told her that I want to do something like Look for Less. It's the challenge where they try to imitate a high end designer while shopping in cheap stores. SM has a variety of great stuff waiting to be discovered. I want to do that challenge! And SM is a great store to start. SM may sell some cheaper stuff but they sell good quality products. My twin loves their belts! I still don't know what section gives the best products.

I just wonder what S/S 2010 look I am going to copy...hehe

Booksale
lorsee wrote at 5:49 PM

If I was asked: What is the best bookstore in the Philippines? I would have only one store in mind: Booksale. It's a vintage store for books. The books are not that old but they have obviously been used.

Even though the books are old, there's something that I really like about that store. You never know what you are going to find. Some chick lit books are not available in National Bookstore, Powerbooks or Fully Booked but they are very much available in Booksale. Plus the price is cheap!

Other than that, I like the fact, that it is not arranged in a OC order. It kind of gives that vintage feeling. It's like serendipity when I find a good book. Books need not to be novels. I sometimes read city guides and buy puzzle books. It's a very low end store that sells books that I know I would love.

I like stores that give a eerie vintage feel. It's like I'm transported to another time. And I can see myself visiting stores that sell vintage furniture and mixing them with modern stuff. I'm not an interior designer but I'm pretty sure my taste (and some practice) would help in making my dream home. I also plan to visit other vintage bookstores around the world. I hope that I would discover something when I travel.

I wonder where the biggest Booksale store is. I like to visit that store someday. It would be like a dream come true.

Manny Pacquiao as VP?
lorsee wrote at 4:41 PM

Taking my mind off stress and focus on something that I would like to express my opinion on. There has been rumors that people are tapping Manny Pacquiao to run as VP, a role that has my prof considered worthless compared to the governor of the BSP. And of course, I am opposed to it.

The reason that people stated is that because he unites Filipinos. People love watching him because he makes us proud. I agree on that part but it's not enough to place him a position that he barely understands. I'm pretty sure that he would just be manipulated by the people when he sits there. And if the uniting factor is the only reason he should be VP, why not make him royalty? seriously.

Around the world, the royalty are the unifying factor of a certain country. Some examples of this would be Thailand and Japan. They really do what their kings say because they really love them. And I think it is the face that Manny Pacquiao is showing. It's the role he is playing for the Filipinos. So don't make him a VP.

I know that he did not even finish college. To rule the country, he must understand how it works. I'm not sure if he the poor people can fully grasp that idea. They just want someone popular. But when that person is seated, they blame them for not helping them in times of need. I really hate it because most Filipinos depend on the government. Sometimes, they need to believe in themselves. And maybe stop making babies. Or see their children as assets.

God, I really hate the poor. Those who are worthless or think they are worthless. Why don't we legalize abortion? I was so influenced by Freakonomics. I think that it is the driving factor why I want abortion to be legalized. They are proved to lower the crime. Isn't that enough reason to legalize it?
